Update – Located: Police seek public assistance to locate missing woman

UPDATE (Friday, Nov. 23, 2018): Allison Downing was located by Ontario Provincial Police on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018 and is safe.  Kingston Police would like to thank all those who showed concern and shared the missing persons information. The photo of Downing has been removed to avoid confusion.

Kingston Police are asking the public to assist in locating Allison Downing, a 48-year-old woman last seen on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at around 5 p.m.

Police have received a report of concerns for Downing’s well-being. The report indicated that Downing was last seen leaving a residence on College Street, and that she was not dressed for the cold weather at the time. There are some concerns regarding her health, Kingston Police said in a press release on Thursday, Nov. 22.

Downing is described as standing 5’3” and was last seen wearing a green camouflage jacket, lighter green loose-fitting pants with some type of pattern on them, and black boots. At the time she was last seen, Downing also had two border collies with her. One of the dogs was on a red leash, and the other was on a blue leash.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kingston Police at 613-549-4660, or 911 in the case of an emergency. Tips can also be provided anonymously by calling the Kingston Police general number (613-549-4660 ext. 0) and asking to be anonymous, or by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
