OPP seeks assistance after rash of thefts at fire station construction site

The Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has released the above photos and is requesting assistance to identify persons of interest and vehicles that may have been utilized during multiple break and enters that occurred at a local property under construction in South Frontenac.

According to a release from the OPP, between July 12, 2022, and February 13, 2023, unknown individual(s) have attended the construction site on Battersea Road and stolen tools with a value of over $7,000. In response to Kingstonist inquiries, the Frontenac OPP confirmed that the site in question is that for the new South Frontenac Fire & Rescue station. Police noted that there could possibly be several individuals involved.

The OPP is asking anyone who many have information about the incidents or who are aware of the individuals’ identity, to contact the Frontenac County OPP at 613-372-1932 or the OPP Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122. Those wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where callers may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
