Local man charged with sexual assault after grabbing server in downtown restaurant

A Kingston man is facing charges after a server in a downtown restaurant reported him for making lewd comments and grabbing her in a sexual manner.

The accused male entered the restaurant in downtown Kingston at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, according to a press release from Kingston Police. The victim, working as a server in the restaurant, began serving the man alcohol and food. The accused then began making inappropriate comments which eventually became sexual in nature. He then went behind the bar while the victim was working and grabbed her in a sexual manner.

Although the accused man left the restaurant prior to police arriving, he was located the following day and arrested. The 30-year-old local man is charged with sexual assault.
