After a service medal and military coins were stolen from a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, Kingston Police are attempting to recover the stolen items.

According to police, the items were stolen from the complainant’s vehicle sometime between Sunday, Mar. 22 and Monday, Mar. 23, 2020. The vehicle was parked in the area of Barrie and Colborne Streets, and was entered by an unknown suspect, and a General Service Medal from an operation in Kuwait and two military coins were stolen.

The rank and name of the member of the Armed Forces is inscribed on the side of the General Service Medal. If the medal discovered, the investigating officer can verify if it is a match.

The first stolen coin is silver in colour and has “Canadian Forces Joint Signals Regiment” written on it. The second stolen coin is also silver and has “Canadian Forces Maintenance Unit” written on it.
