Last weekend, Kingston Elite Cheerleading travelled to Niagara Falls to compete in the Canadian Cheer National Championships. The local organization once again proved its domination in the world of competitive cheerleading, clinching prestigious titles and accolades across multiple divisions.

From Apri 12 to 14, 2024, nine teams showcased their exceptional skills and talent – four of which secured the National Championships in their respective divisions, according to a release from the cheer organization. Teams Imperial, Ice, Frost, and Steel showcased exceptional performances, captivating the audience and judges alike with their routines.

Adding to their impressive haul, three Kingston Elite Cheerleading teams claimed the silver medal in their divisions, according to the release. Teams Scarlet, Tiffany, and Lace exhibited remarkable routines, earning well-deserved recognition for their outstanding performances.

Teams Sky and Rose competed in some of the toughest divisions at Nationals, and both secured a seventh-place finish with their incredible routines.

Elite said that while every team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, special recognition is due to Team Steel for receiving the Level 3 Judges Choice Award, an esteemed honour reserved for the highest Level 3 score of the entire competition. Additionally, Team Lace finished in 5th place in the Canadian Finals, an exclusive competition where the top teams from each level across Canada compete against each other, regardless of their division.

“We are incredibly proud of all our athletes and coaches for their dedication, hard work, and outstanding performances at Nationals,” said Laura King, Director of Kingston Elite Cheerleading.

“Their relentless determination and passion for the sport continues to amaze me. With all the training and dedication that goes into a season of competitive cheerleading, witnessing their hard work translate into success at competition is truly satisfying for the entire Kingston Elite family.”

According to the release, Kingston Elite Cheerleading remains committed to fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and teamwork, setting the standard for cheerleading excellence in Canada and beyond.  For more information about Kingston Elite Cheerleading and its accomplishments, visit www.kingstonelitecheer.com.
