CSC reports inmate death at Millhaven Institution’s Regional Treatment Centre

According to Correctional Service Canada (CSC), an inmate has died while in their custody of apparent natural causes following an illness.

Jimmy Partridge, 56, died on Saturday, Jul. 3, 2021, CSC said in a press release on Tuesday, Jul. 6, 2021. At the time of his death, Partridge had been serving an indeterminate sentence for sexual assault and breach of recognizance to keep peace, since May 11, 2009.

CSC will review the circumstances surrounding this death, as they do in all cases involving the death of an inmate. As per CSC policy, the police and coroner have been notified.
