City looking for feedback from agriculture and renewable energy workers

The City of Kingston is looking for volunteers in the agriculture and renewable energy sectors, and is scheduling one-on-one interviews with those interested to collect feedback for the Climate Leadership Plan.
“Set to be shared with residents later this summer, the Climate Leadership Plan is a strategic document that will identify actions the municipality must take to achieve carbon neutrality no later than 2040,” the City stated in a news release on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
The City said the Plan will also act as a guide for the larger community.
“We cannot achieve our climate leadership goals without you,” Julie Salter-Keane, Manager of Climate Leadership Division at the City of Kingston said in a statement.
The City asks that those interested sign up by Friday, May 14 to be considered. Chats with those who work in the agriculture industry will take place on May 17 and 20, while chats with those who work in the renewable energy sector will take place on May 18 and 21.
Interviews will be approximately 20 minutes in length and those interested are asked to contact the Julie Salter-Keane, the City’s Climate Leadership Division manager by email at [email protected], or book a meeting online here.
Feedback received will be published in the City’s ‘What We Heard’ Report to be published in the fall of 2021.
