#ygkChallenge: Stay on Track with your New Year’s Resolutions

resolution check in, ygk challenge, Kingston, OntarioThe #ygkChallenge is an ongoing series where we dare you to be different, resolve to be better, and or do something awesome in support of our beloved community. Each week, Kingstonist establishes a new, ambitious or quirky goal, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and do something great, and hopefully a little out of the ordinary. By taking part in this community-wide initiative, we hope to make Kingston (and the world) a slightly better place to live, work and play.

This week’s #ygkChallenge encourages you to:

Get on track. Remember those little promises you made to yourself about a month and half ago? How is that going? I don’t mean to sound sarcastic, I’m honestly just checking in to see if you’ve managed to stay true to your goals so far this year. I know that I, personally, could use a little kick in the butt right now. It’s easy to get excited about setting goals when the new year approaches, but as winter wears on (especially this last week), it can be difficult to stay on track when all you want to do is stay in, sleep, eat comfort foods, watch Netflix all night….whatever it is that is impeding your goal, it’s there tempting you. So this week, we challenge you to revisit your New Year’s resolutions and get back to working towards your goals. Of course, I’m sure not all of us have gone off track. If you’re someone who’s making progress and taking 2016 by the horns, tell us how you do it. How do you stay motivated? Whether your goals are health related, work or family oriented or otherwise, this week, make a plan to start seeing them through.

Join us in completing this week’s #ygkchallenge by liking it on Facebook and/or re-Tweeting it on Twitter. By liking and sharing, you’re not only committing to doing something great, but you’re also helping us spread the word and hopefully encouraging others to participate.
