#ygkChallenge: Participate in Pitch-In Kingston
The #ygkChallenge is an ongoing series where we dare you to be different, resolve to be better, and or do something awesome in support of our beloved community. Each week, Kingstonist establishes a new, ambitious or quirky goal, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and do something great, and hopefully a little out of the ordinary. By taking part in this community-wide initiative, we hope to make Kingston (and the world) a slightly better place to live, work and play.
This week’s #ygkChallenge encourages you to:
Participate in Pitch-In Kingston. Give your city a little TLC by participating in Pitch-In Kingston, our community’s annual clean-up event. Powered by local workplaces, sports teams, community groups, schools, and individuals, Pitch-In is a great City-wide spring clean-up after the winter snow disappears. This year Pitch-In Kingston will be held on April 22nd.
How do you pitch-in? Pick a location, find some friends, register on the Sustainable Kingston website for your information package, and get yourself some free Pitch-In Kingston garbage bags. This year, bags can be found at all Kingston Tim Hortons locations on the 22nd of April, or at the Sustainable Kingston’s office at 184 Sydenham Street and the Tomlinson Group Industrial Waste Division at 650 Fortune Crescent starting on the 18th.
Join us in completing this week’s #ygkchallenge by liking it on Facebook and/or re-Tweeting it on Twitter. By liking and sharing, you’re not only committing to doing something great, but you’re also helping us spread the word and hopefully encouraging others to participate.
