#ygkChallenge: Name This Thing
The #ygkchallenge is an ongoing series where we dare you to be different, resolve to be better, and or do something awesome in support of our beloved community. Each week, Kingstonist establishes a new, ambitious or quirky goal, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and do something great, and hopefully a little out of the ordinary. By taking part in this community-wide initiative, we hope to make Kingston (and the world) a slightly better place to live, work and play.
This week’s #ygkchallenge encourages you to:
Name the City’s new mobile waste diversion station. The City of Kingston’s new mobile waste diversion station will be used at events to collect recycling and organic waste so that it can be diverted from landfill. The big green machine will be used much the same as Utilities Kingston’s Water Buggy, which you’ve likely used to quench your thirst at festivals and other community activities. Rather than release it into the wild with a name like “waste diversion station”, the City is soliciting ideas for names with a bit more pizzazz. Here’s our change to submit some awesome names like: Wastey McWaste Face. Pick something that’s sure to be remembered, or otherwise shine the spotlight on Kingston’s waste diversion efforts, and submit your best idea here. Voting closes soon, so don’t delay!
Join us in completing this week’s #ygkchallenge by liking it on Facebook and/or re-Tweeting it on Twitter. By liking and sharing, you’re not only committing to doing something great, but you’re also helping us spread the word and hopefully encouraging others to participate.
