#ygkChallenge: Show Some Love for Kingstonist
Welcome to Kingstonist’s weekly challenge, dare, resolution or whatever you prefer to call it. Each week we establish a new and ambitious community goal, encouraging our readers, followers, friends and families to step out of their comfort zones and do something great, and hopefully a little out of the ordinary. Consider this your official and personal invitation to join us in completing a small but meaningful achievement. By taking part in this community-wide initiative, we hope to make Kingston a slightly better place to live, work and play. And of course, we also hope that you will feel proud of your contribution and achievement.
This week’s challenge encourages you to:
Show Some Love for Kingstonist! This week’s challenge is entirely self-serving, but hear me out. Over the past four and a half years, the team at Kingstonist has worked tirelessly to bring you original, engaging and useful content from the local community. We’ve learned a lot along the way, and are continuously looking at new ways to spread the word and spark thought-provoking conversations about issues that matter in Kingston. You, as a reader, play a huge part in what we do and why we do it. And if you’re still reading this, I suspect you have an sincere interest in our mandate to make Kingston a better place. For that to work, we need your help. I’m not looking for a pat on the back, nor a free lunch. What I’m asking you to do is comment a little more often, contribute a short story to our Soapbox, tell us how we can improve the site (ie features), or recommend that your friends like us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter, it’s all good. A little bit of love goes a long way, and trust me, we truly appreciate it!
Sign up and commit to completing this week’s challenge by commenting below with an “I’m in“, “challenge accepted“, “en garde” or something along those lines. Further, help us spread the word via Twitter and Facebook by sharing the link and encouraging the participation of your friends and family. By joining together in our weekly challenge, we hope to accomplish big and positive things for our community.

As I mentioned on facebook, a collaboration with kingstonist and the popular Vintage Kingston group could yield some pretty spectacular results!
This isn't a self-serving post at all … it's a great reminder that kingstonist is here, it's becoming an essential medium for discussion about our city, and if we don't use it, we could lose it!
Thanks for all you do … the challenge is on :)
I'll never leave you guys don't worry!
Hi there,
I'm a new resident of Kingston, and I've found the Kingstonist to be an excellent source of information and insight. Thanks for the great work – I'll be back often!
