#ygkChallenge: Support Big Paws

Big Paws, Kingston Humane Society, Kingston, OntarioThe #ygkchallenge is an ongoing series where we dare you to be different, resolve to be better, and or do something awesome in support of our beloved community. Each week, Kingstonist establishes a new, ambitious or quirky goal, encouraging you to step out of your comfort zone and do something great, and hopefully a little out of the ordinary. By taking part in this community-wide initiative, we hope to make Kingston (and the world) a slightly better place to live, work and play.

This week’s #ygkchallenge encourages you to:

Support Big Paws!  The Kingston Humane Society’s 19th annual Big Paws fundraiser takes place on Sunday, September 10th at Lake Ontario Park.  This adorably furry event includes a family and dog-friendly walk, an expo geared towards pet lovers, K9 demonstrations, agility course, games by Improbable Escapes games and more! All funds raised go back to the Kingston Humane Society, supporting their mandate, which encourages people to take responsibility for their animal companions, and to provide care for animals who are neglected, abused, exploited, stray or homeless.  Sign up or make a donation today to do a solid for all of the four legged friends who are cared for by our fantastic humane society! #AdoptDontShop

Join us in completing this week’s #ygkchallenge by liking it on Facebook and/or re-Tweeting it on Twitter. By liking and sharing, you’re not only committing to doing something great, but you’re also helping us spread the word and hopefully encouraging others to participate.
