Seeley’s Bay man charged with impaired driving after single vehicle collision

Members of the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Seeley’s Bay man after his alleged impaired driving led to a collision.

On Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, officers reported to a single vehicle collision on Battersea Road. The ensuing investigation found that the driver of the vehicle was impaired, and also refusing to provide a breath sample.

As a result, Cassel Miles, 54, was charged with impaired driving and refusing to provide a breath sample. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was towed and impounded. Miles will be responsible for all related fees and fines, and will face a one-year suspension of his license if convicted. Miles was released on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019.
