Only minor injuries after vehicle went over cliff at Lake on the Mountain

Thanks to the quick thinking by members of Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue, only minor injuries occurred after a vehicle went over the edge of the cliff at Lake on the Mountain.

According to a release from the Prince Edward County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jul. 15, 2023, the OPP, alongside Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue and Hastings Quinte Paramedic Service, responded to a report of a single vehicle that had driven over the cliff at Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park.

The OPP said that the vehicle was quickly secured, thanks to the the quick thinking by members of the fire service, and the driver was assisted out of the vehicle. An 88-year-old driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
