Best Nail Salon in Kingston

weekly poll, best nail salon in Kingston, OntarioI’m not one for spending a lot of time and money on going to spas on a regular basis but there’s something about the cooler weather that makes me want to paint my fingernails.  I’m a violinist so I can’t really have long nails but it’s nice, every now and then, to look down while I’m playing to see happy, colourful fingertips flying over the strings. Little things like that have a way of taking away the winter blues, you know?  I actually managed to get the entire violin section of the Kingston Symphony to paint their nails for a concert a couple of years ago and they all agreed that it looked and felt great.

While I’m OK at painting my own nails, I do like to treat myself to a mani and/or pedi every now and then, so I’m always on the lookout for advice on which ygk nail salon is the best.  What makes a manicure or pedicure the best though?  Ultimately, a good manicure should include a mix of polish artistry, attentive care and a relaxing environment, but most importantly to me, and to many of you I’m sure, is value for my money.

So, as we continue on our mission to find the best places in Kingston, this week we want you to tell us:

The Best Nail Salon in Kingston is:

  • James Brett Coiffure (33%, 76 Votes)
  • Angel Nails Salon (19%, 44 Votes)
  • L.A. Nails (18%, 41 Votes)
  • Diva Salon (12%, 27 Votes)
  • Trihn's Beautiful Nails (9%, 21 Votes)
  • La Sirene (8%, 19 Votes)

Total Voters: 228

There are so many manicure options to choose from in this city from mom and pop shops to high-end salons that we couldn’t possibly include them all in today’s poll.  While some places sweeten the deal with extras such as mini-massages and paraffin wax, others pride themselves on offering the highest quality job in the least amount of time for the least amount of money.  Today’s list offers up a mixed bag of what we consider to be the some of the most popular nail salons in town.  If we missed your favourite place, please give them a shout out in the comments below.

My long-time favourite has been Lily Nails at Princess and Centennial. I've also recently started going to Kingdom Nails at Gardiners and Fortune and it's beautiful inside – the same family owns Mekong restaurant downtown, and they all seem really nice
