Remembering Linda Paquin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, sister and friend, Linda Paquin. At the end of January 2024, Linda was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer. She had little to no symptoms and this diagnosis came as a thundering shock to her family and friends. She was able to spend several weeks at home, being cared for daily by her devoted husband Gary and her children. When her care advanced, Linda was able to move to Providence Care, where she received exceptional care, compassion and attention from the doctors, nurses and support staff. On May 18th, with her husband by her side, only in body and not in spirit, Linda left this earthly plane. Linda loved staying busy. She was always creating some sort of craft often using wood as her medium of choice. She was an excellent baker and renowned pancake maker!

Nothing meant more to Linda than her family. Although she had many hobbies, she loved nothing more than being a grandmother to Chael, Ben, Ada and Isaiah. Linda was a remarkable teacher in life, raising her 3 children with her husband Gary and instilling in them hard work, accountability and above all else, kindness. She passed these lessons on to her grandchildren who will continue to make her proud as they grow. Linda leaves behind her devoted husband, Gary. Her 3 children, Trisha (Ian), Jennifer (Darren) and Jeremy (Ashley). She will be missed deeply by her grandchildren, Chael (11), Ben (10), Ada (7) and Isaiah (7), as well as her sister Debbie (Mark) and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda is predeceased by her parents, Mary and Joseph Peters, as well as her brothers, Ricky and Paul. There will be a graveside ceremony open to all who can join on Friday May 24th, at 10:30am at Cataraqui Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on June 15th, 2024 at Golden Links Hall at 1:00 pm in Harrowsmith. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and celebrate the wonderful life of Linda!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
