Remembering Edwin Plumb

Plumb, Edwin William (June 17, 1926 – October 31, 2023)
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ed in his 98th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy (McGall), sister Gwen Bedford (Don), brother Ron and dear friend Eileen Reardon. Ed was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, papa, great-papa and friend. Ed will always be remembered for his love and commitment to his family. Ed leaves behind four sons: Ron (Barb), Rick (Lynn), Rob (Brenda), Randy (Sheri) and eight grandchildren: Aaron (Danielle), Matt (Edit), Mark (Becky), Jason (Jillian), Jamie (Michelle), Shannon (Brian), Cassandra (Kyle) and Courtney, as well as 17 cherished great-grandchildren: Ava, Emma, Sophie, Martin, Danica, Kaylee, William, Halle, Nora, Reid, Leo, Westin, Levi, Esamay, Addison, Kendra and Payton and niece Judy Grant.
His life was full of happy memories with each and every one of us. Ed was an avid sportsman and lifelong Kingstonian. He was a keen supporter of hockey and baseball, both as a player, coach and manager. A mentor to his family, encouraging and instilling the love of sports, fishing and hunting.
Ed was blessed to have enjoyed a long life fully lived.
A special thank you to all of the wonderful care givers that helped Dad and the family over the past few months.
Family and friends are invited to join a Celebration of Ed’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560 on Montreal Street, in the Limestone Room on Wednesday, November 29th, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
