Remembering Bradley Reynolds

Bradley Howard Reynolds
January 22, 1938 – April 11, 2024

In both sorrow and celebration of a remarkable man, we mark the passing of Bradley Howard Reynolds in his home at Trillium Long Term Care Residence in Kingston, Ontario.

He was the son of Howard and Mildred Reynolds of Bellrock, Ontario and brother to Judy (Gunter) Dehnert. Uncle to Lori Tozer (Ferdie) and Kurt and Paul Dehnert.

Anyone that knows our Dad can attest to the deep devotion and love that he had for our Mom, Barb, who sadly predeceased him on November 25, 2023. They were married 61 years and showed the utmost dedication to each other with the last 16 years of Dad’s illness being a testament to their love.

Brad was equally devoted to his children Mark (and his wife, Anne-Marie, and step-daughter, Natalie) and Heather Toth (and her husband Paul). Dad could not get enough of his grandchildren Lindsay Toth (and partner Christopher Wong), Joel Toth and Andrew Toth. Sadly, Dad was very unwell when Lindsay’s children, Rhys and Caia Toth-Wong were born. We know he is catching up now and guiding and protecting his precious great-grandchildren.

After his graduation from Queen’s University, Brad had a long teaching career, primarily as a Principal in Lennox and Addington County. He was a kind and supportive work colleague that embraced and encouraged others’ strengths.

Brad enjoyed his home and friends in Amherstview and particularly enjoyed summers spent at the cottage in Verona with family and friends. Heather and Paul’s home in Burlington was a frequent retreat for the doting grandparents who loved full immersion in the chaos of their grandkids.

Thank you to all the friends who continued to support Mom and Dad by visiting and calling, especially over the last 16 years when life had gotten harder. Thank you as well to the staff at Trillium LTC, Country House for your compassionate care.

A joint Celebration of Life for Barb and Brad will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd in Kingston from 2:00-4:00pm. Tributes at 2:30pm. Please bring a story to share, publicly or privately.

Memorial donations can be made to UNICEF or Salvation Army in Brad’s honour.
