Obituary of the late Jane Warns
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jane Helen Warns (nee Sands) in her 77th year on September 13, 2023, at Providence Care Hospital. Jane is predeceased by her parents Helen and John Sands and her brother John Sands.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Hans Warns, cherished daughter Ellen Thiffault, and loving grandchildren Madeline Scott (Cory), and Marc Thiffault.
Jane had a dedicated career at Queens University, she was an active member of the Kingston Curling Club and the Legion 560 in Kingston. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
In keeping with Jane’s wishes a private family graveside will be held. A Celebration of Jane’s life will take place at the Legion 560 in Kingston at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
I’m so saddened to read this… “Bugs” as I knew her and I went through public (Winston Churchill) and high school (KCVI) together…
