Obituary Julie Clark

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Julie Ann Clark (nee Farquharson). Julie passed away suddenly at Kingston General Hospital on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at the age of 69. Julie was born in Newmarket on July 26, 1954. Julie is survived by her children Sarah Webster (Christian) and Maegan Ross (Chris), her brother Lee Farquharson (Colleen Killingsworth) and grandchildren Owen, Elissa, April, and Jack. Julie is also survived by her former husband Kenneth Clark. She is predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Betty Farquharson.

Julie loved being in nature – whether walking in the woods, sitting by the water, puttering in her garden, or taking a twisty-turney scenic drive. She loved music all her life and enjoyed her time singing in various choirs, playing the piano, impromptu dance parties, or listening to Saturday Night Oldies.

Julie had a curiosity for life and drive to figure things out. She was independent but her true happiness was found in spending time with those she loved. Her face lit up anytime she saw family and she particularly loved just “being” in the day to day lives of her loved ones. Julie found so much joy being a Gramma and creating memories with each grandkid, including special birthday outings to Dairy Queen.

Julie had such a unique ability to make people feel special and seen. She could turn any activity into an adventure and knew how to create family traditions that have carried through the generations. Each time we read the Polar Express on December 1st, sing “You are my sunshine”, see a butterfly, dance wildly, or make time for one another, we will think of her and feel so much love.

Cremation has been entrusted to James Reid Funeral Home. In lieu of a formal ceremony, we ask that you remember Julie by planting a flower, singing a song, or spreading love and joy.
