Tom was born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia on February 7, 1938 and moved to Kingston, Ontario in 1945 with his family, where he eventually met his beloved wife Lesley (aka Squirrel). Tom was proud to be a member of the Ontario Provincial Police and served in Bancroft for 13 years. He and Lesley raised their family in Bancroft, where they enjoyed many happy years. They then moved back to Kingston to be close to their family. Tom took on various jobs, where he enjoyed working in customer service with car sales, the LCBO and the James Reid Funeral Home. He was happiest spending time with his immediate and extended family, celebrating many holidays or just a sunny day golfing, thinking about his next car purchase and watching the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays. He had many friends because of his friendly, easy-going nature and was well-liked by many people. His Catholic faith was also important to him and he spent many years at St. Joseph’s Parish.

Tom’s family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and staff at the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario for their care during his fight with cancer. As a result, donations in Tom’s memory to UHKF – Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario or Martha’s Table would be appreciated by his family.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Reid Funeral Home.
