Obituary for Norma Rinaldi

RINALDI, Norma Theresa

March 8, 1925 – September 17, 2023

The family announces with great sadness the death of Norma Rinaldi (nee Janelli) who died peacefully in her 99th year at Trillium Care Community.  

Norma was the wife of Charles (“Charlie”) Rinaldi, who predeceased her.  Throughout her long life Norma was generous with her love.  Her family will always remember her great love of her daughters Charlotte, Marylin, and Christine, and their life partners Paul, Barry, and Hanne, her grandchildren, Woodrow and partner Lidya, Gabe and partner Sara, Andre and partner Mara, and Nathan and partner Kimberly, and great-grandchildren Sophie, Milena, Emmett, and Alex, and the last great-granddaughter soon to be born.  

Norma was born and raised in New York City before immigrating to Canada following the death of her husband.  

The family wishes to thank the staff at Trillium Care Community for their loving and professional care of Norma during her stay.  Norma often spoke of the kindness shown by those who cared for her.

Norma was a kind, intelligent, and modest woman.  There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Paul the Apostle Parish Church (1111 Taylor-Kidd Blvd. Kingston) on November 4 at 10:30 a.m.  Norma asked that those wishing to celebrate her life make a contribution to Oxfam Canada, or to a food security charity of their choice.

Although Norma has died, surviving her is a legacy of love.

And death shall have no dominion
