Obituary for Melvyn Therien

Therien, Melvyn Charles (1946 – 2023)

Mel departed this life the morning of September 12, 2023 after a brief illness. Mel’s final moments were in the company of his children Amy, Sean, their mother Lynda and his brother Lloyd.

In earlier years, Mel was very proud to serve his community as a Volunteer Firefighter. Mel was always ready to lend assistance to anyone that needed it. He will be missed.

At Mel’s request, cremation has taken place and no service is planned. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Davies 4 Intensive Care Unit at Kingston General Hospital. Thanks to the Rev. Canon Andrew Chisholm for his comforting words to Mel and the family in his last hours.
