Obituary for Helmut Fischer

Helmut Fischer
Cabinet-maker, toy-maker, volunteer, letter writer… the list of passions goes on!
A man of endless ingenuity, fierce determination and resilience.
Liebe Papa,
We are the lucky ones to have shared our lives with you. Ninety-three years of amassing life’s riches through your devotion to family and friends, your open door, open arms, generosity, humour, playfulness, tenacity, faith and your glass-half-full spirit. You were a magnet for so many people. Thank god you always insisted on photos – our treasure trove of memories. The conversations and connections will carry on. You showed us the way.
Unser Vater war ein Wandersmann
