Obituary for Darlene Petitpas
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Darlene Belinda Petitpas.
Darlene left us in the early morning hours on September 8th, 2023 at the Kingston General Hospital from a short battle with lung cancer, with her two daughters and sister at her side.
Darlene is predeceased by her parents Mary (Florent) and Cecil Woodward, her brother Larry Woodward (Lynn) and sister Linda Martin (Marc). She is survived by her daughter Becky McCarthy (Trevor Running) and grandchildren Austin, Bella and Keegan and her daughter Krystal Petitpas and grandson Hadley, her sisters Margaret Derosier (Emile) and Cathy Woodward and her brothers Billy Woodward and David Woodward, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Darlene will be remembered for her stubborn yet very loving nature. She was always there without hesitation when someone she loved and needed her.
The family welcomes all those who loved her and had the pleasure of knowing her (even if it was a short time) to come and say their final goodbyes, have some snacks and share stories on Saturday, September 16th, between 3 and 5 pm at the James Reid Funeral Home. Please come as yourself, as mom would want you to be for a casual celebration of her life.
