Charles Ebert Bender
January 29, 1952 – October 15, 2023
It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Chuck Bender announces his passing.
Predeceased by his loving parents, Thelma and Keith Bender, and his adored sister, Anne. He was the proudest dad to Mitch (Aminah) and Clarke (Andrea) and the world’s best Boppa to Lucy and Charlotte. Chuck was the founder of Backyard Fence, an incredibly successful company serving the Kingston area for over 30 years. He’ll be remembered by his nieces, nephews, friends, employees, customers, and anyone who met him for his generous heart, kindness and devotion to his family.
His family takes great solace in knowing he was in the garage with his Shelby Mustang and a whiskey, following a day spent with his beloved granddaughters at the lake.
In keeping with Chuck’s wishes, there will not be a service or celebration.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada are appreciated and encouraged.
Wow. Although I hadn’t seen Chuck since high school, I remember him as having such an awesome sense of humor. He was in my class in public school at Kingscourt as well. Never a dull moment with that guy for sure. I remember when his sister Anne passed as well. Sincerest condolences to Chuck’s entire family. God bless.
