Obituary for Barbara Armstrong

Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, 2 August 2023, at her Cedars Villa residence in Calgary Alberta, just shy of her 96th birthday. Barbara was born in Almonte Ontario, grew up in Perth, spent most of her married life in Kingston and then moved in her later years to Calgary to be closer to her daughter’s family.

Well-loved and respected by all who knew her, she’ll be greatly missed for her kindness, generosity, sense of humour and constant curiosity about the world around her.

Barbara is survived by her beloved daughter, Beth Armstrong (Don Aultman), cherished granddaughter Liana Aultman (Dax Xenis), loving sister Margaret Campbell of Perth and treasured sister-in-law Jill Buffam of Nepean. She’ll be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews, family and many good friends. Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband, Keith Armstrong and most cherished son, Jim Armstrong.

Visitation will take place at James Reid Funeral Home in Kingston on Friday, 18 August 2023, from 6:00 -8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday 19 August 2023 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens in Glenburnie, Ontario.
