Obituary for Audrey Shannon

Shannon, Audrey Irene (nee Forbes) March 30, 1934 – August 10, 2023

Audrey went home to be with Jesus, her husband Donald and sons James (Jimmy) and Norman Shannon. She leaves behind her daughters Sharon (Mark) Alton and Anna-Marie (Stanley) Robidoux. Her 4 Grandchildren Jennifer, Matthew, Sharon, and Shannon and their families, including 8 Great-Grandchildren Quinton, Peyton, Cooper, Austin, Wesley, Eve, Isabelle and Emberleigh.

Audrey was predeceased by her parents James and Ethel Forbes, as well as some of her cherished siblings, she leaves 2 remaining sisters and was a loved Aunt/Great-Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Audrey worked for many years as a librarian and support staff for the board of education and with her free time volunteered for many organizations over the years, including being a Sunday school teacher. She made differences in the lives of all the children she encountered.

There will be a wake Friday, August 18, 2023, from 4-9pm and the funeral will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 1:00pm both at Evangel Pentecostal Church, 251 Wilson Street, Kingston, Ontario.
