In loving memory of Tim Dickson

Tim passed away shortly after his 67th birthday, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Tim was an engineer and PhD in physics. He worked at Halla Climate Control in Belleville, followed by Bombardier/Alstom in Kingston, in research and management, as well as being a member of the Kingston Technology Council.

While he had many professional accomplishments including inventions and publications, his proudest moments involved his children Terence and Julia, and he will be greatly missed by them and his wife Eva.

It was surprisingly hard to find a photo of Tim that showed him in repose. Those who knew him also know that he was always busy fixing or improving. His favourite activities were at the cottage at the lake, where he had a workshop that was the envy of all. He hugely enjoyed hosting friends and his parents, sisters and their families there … pulling kids in tubes, grilling steaks, and building fires for making s’mores.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Partners in Mission Food Bank, Kingston.
