In Loving Memory of Noreen MacDougall

MACDOUGALL, Noreen

1943 – 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Catherine Noreen MacDougall, Noreen to her friends, on August 30, 2023 after a brief illness.

A lifelong Registered Nurse, Noreen had a long history of community and civic involvement in Ottawa and Kingston, Ontario.

She proudly managed Central Park Retirement Lodge on Carling Avenue in Ottawa. Noreen also served one term as a counselor for the Township of Frontenac Islands representing Howe Island. She was a proud member of the local Garden Buds and book club. Known on the island for touring around with her dog Sandie hanging out of the driver side window. She will be missed.

Noreen is predeceased by her husband Lt. Colonel Gordon Keith MacDougall. Noreen is survived by her sons Gordon and Michael MacDougall.

In keeping with Noreen’s wishes cremation has taken place. Her family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., on Friday, September 8th from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm and on Saturday, September 9th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. A Celebration of Noreen’s life will be held on Sunday, September 10th from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at her home, 1259 Byrne Point Road, Howe Island, all are welcome. For those who wish donations in Noreen’s memory may be made to the Ontario Council of the Blind.
