Woman arrested for impaired driving after multiple collisions

A 23-year-old female has been arrested and charged with impaired driving after multiple collisions on Thursday evening.

Kingston Police say that they were called to the area of Bath Rd near Centennial at around 5:35 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, after a truck was observed jumping the curb, striking a pedestrian bench and hitting a light pole before finally coming to rest in a ditch.

According to Kingston Police, the female has been charged with impaired operation of a conveyance, as well as impaired operation of a conveyance while exceeding blood alcohol concentration.

According to Kingston Police Media Relations Officer Ash Gutheinz, the driver was assessed at Kingston General Hospital and later released on conditions.
