A local woman was arrested for damaging a parked car with what witnesses described as a baseball bat.
At 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday Jul. 22, 2020 a witness heard a loud smashing and banging noise nearby to their location. The witness then saw the accused female walking away from a parked vehicle just up the street while carrying a baseball bat. The accused woman then walked back to the vehicle and struck both the front windshield and passenger side window with the baseball bat, police say. She then left the scene leaving a smashed windshield and broken out passenger side window in her wake.
After searching the area, police located the accused female walking on Russell Street. She was then arrested, and police located the baseball bat as well as a golf club. The two appeared to be bound together with hair elastics.
A 39-year-old local woman was charged with mischief under $5000.
