Winter Weather Advisory in effect for Kingston area

Environment Canada has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Kingston, Odessa, and Frontenac Islands.
“Lake effect flurries are expected to be heavy at times today, with a quick 2 to 5 cm of new snowfall possible,” the national weather service said in a release.
According to Environment Canada, visibility may be briefly reduced to 500 metres or less in brief bursts of heavy snow. “As a result, poor winter driving conditions are expected,” Environment Canada said.
Environment Canada advised that travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. “Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.”
