Winter weather advisory for Kingston and area

Environment Canada has issued a Winter Weather Travel Advisory Kingston, Odessa and Frontenac Islands for tonight and Wednesday. The national weather service says it expects snowfall amounts from 4 to 8 cm, with slippery road conditions and reduced visibility in falling snow.
Persons in or near this area should be on the lookout for adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions.
The snowfall is expected overnight on Tuesday and into early Wednesday afternoon. Snow is expected to move into the area near midnight, continuing throughout the day Wednesday. Travel may be impacted. Residents are asked to consider postponing travel until conditions improve.
Environment Canada says this Winter Weather Travel Advisory is due to a low pressure system that is forecast to track south of the region tonight and Wednesday. Due to the uncertain track of the weather system and the warm ground temperatures, total snowfall amounts expected could change. Further updates may be possible as conditions change.
