Win a ride to school with Kingston Fire and Rescue

Kingston Fire and Rescue (KFR) is holding an online auction for a chance to Ride to School with Fire Chief Shawn Armstrong. The auction is in support of the United Way of KFL&A.
The auction opens today, Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, and runs through Oct 22. According to a release from the City of Kingston, the highest bidder will have “the exciting chance to show up to school in style and ride with the Fire Chief” in the KFR SUV, with a Kingston fire truck following behind. KFR will pick up the auction winner within city limits.
“The United Way serving KFL&A supports so many people and charities in our community, providing them support and resources when they need it most,” said Armstrong. “Kingston Fire and Rescue is proud to do its part to help this great organization.”
To take part in the online auction visit www.32auctions.com/Ride-To-School-External and bid for a chance to Ride to School with Fire Chief Armstrong. The City suggests checking back often until the auction closes on Friday, Oct. 22.
The United Way’s annual campaign is supported by City of Kingston employees who have set a goal to fundraise $95,000 for the City’s official charity, according to a release from the City, dated Friday, Oct. 8, 2021.
“The United Way invests in more than 70 programs that support residents, helping them when they need it the most,” the City said, adding that in 2020, United Way local agencies helped more than 79,000 members of our community through funded programs.
