What’s open and closed in Kingston for Thanksgiving Monday

Costco has lots of pumpkin pies available for Thanksgiving, but you’ll need to get in soon if you want one (or a dozen), as they’re closed on Thanksgiving Monday.

 

Happy Thanksgiving! All set to enjoy the long weekend? Just in case you still have some errands left to run, here’s a list of what’s open and closed in Kingston this Thanksgiving Monday so that you can make the most of your day.

Business:

All city administrative offices will be closed Monday, including Utilities Kingston offices. There will be no garbage, green bin or recycling collection on Monday, with collection moving to the day after your normal pickup. Banks will be closed on Monday. Provincial and Federal government offices will also be closed. City buses will run on a Sunday schedule, and Kingston Access Services will also be limited on Monday.

Shopping:

Most grocery stores will be open during regular business hours on Monday, as will shopping malls. Most hardware stores will be open but operating on reduced hours. The LCBO and Beer Store will be closed. Costco will be closed on Monday.

Recreation:

Artillery Park, INVISTA Centre, and city arenas will also be closed on Monday.  The Grand Theatre box office is closed Monday, as is Fort Henry’s Fort Fright. The Pump House Museum and Kingston Pen will also be closed to tours. Kingston area libraries will also be closed on Monday.
