Weekend brings victory for Gaels’ hockey, basketball teams

It was a weekend sweep for the Queen’s Women’s Hockey Team, who defeated both the Guelph Gryphons and the Brock Badgers here on their home ice in Kingston.

The Women’s Hockey Team weren’t the only victorious Gaels over the weekend of Friday, Nov. 15 to Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, either. The Men’s Hockey Team also bagged a win in Quebec, defeating the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) 4-3 in overtime. And, while the Women’s Basketball Team lost out to the Windsor Lancers on the road, the Men’s Basketball Team managed to end the weekend on a high, defeating the Lancers on their home turf 91-88 in overtime.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL – de Goede drops 27 points in tough loss against Windsor WINDSOR, Ont. (November 16, 2019) – The No. 3 Queens Gaels (5-3) fall to the Windsor Lancers (7-1) 82-66 after a hard fought contest.
