Environment Canada issues freezing rain warning

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Kingston area, with freezing rain expected tonight, with ice accretion of 5 mm possible.
“Freezing rain is expected to develop overnight or early Wednesday morning and continue into the late morning before temperatures rise above the freezing mark,” Environment Canada said in a release.
“Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery,” Environment Canada warned. “Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.”
