Wanted man arrested in Kingston on multiple warrants

Kingston Police have arrested a male party wanted on multiple warrants out of several jurisdictions.
Those in the area of the Kimco Steel yard on John Counter Boulevard were struck by the large police presence and what appeared to be “an intense arrest,” according to one witness. The incident took place on the afternoon of Tuesday, Mar. 23, 2021. Const. Ash Gutheinz, Media Relations Officer for Kingston Police explained that their Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Unit responded to the area to execute arrest warrants for a male wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies. The male in question was arrested at approximately 2:55 p.m.
Upon placing the man under arrest, police found that he was also in possession of a controlled substance. Along with his outstanding warrants, the man was also charged with unlawful possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, and breach of probation.
Alex Ubdegrove, a 26-year-old local man, was charged with unlawfully possessing a schedule 1 substance and breach of probation. Ubdegrove was previously arrested by OPP in 2019 on several charges including flight from police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and possession of property obtained by crime.
