Wanted federal offender known to frequent eastern Ontario
The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kingston have requested public assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant.

Christopher Derrett, 40, is wanted as a result of his breach of statutory release. Derrett is currently serving a two-year and one-day sentence for:
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance (vehicle)
- Two counts of possession of a weapon contrary to Prohibition Order
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance
The ROPE Squad describes Derrett as standing 5’10” (178 cm) tall and weighing 176 lbs (80 kgs), with brown hair and blue eyes. He is known to frequen the Belleville, Trenton and Tyendinaga areas, and also has ties to the Peterborough community and area, the ROPE Squad said in a press release on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021.
“Anyone having contact with this offender or information in regards to their whereabouts is asked to contact the Provincial R.O.P.E. Squad at 416-808-5900 or toll free at 1-866-870-7673 (ROPE), or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or call 9-1-1,” the press release states.
