Vessel operator facing impaired driving charges in Prince Edward County
Provincial Parks Wardens in the Dunes area of Sandbanks Provincial Park contacted the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County Detachment to assist with a suspected impaired vessel operator.
Just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jul. 31, 2021, OPP responded to the wardens’ request and spoke with the vessel operator. As a result, the operator was arrested and taken back to detachment for further testing, according to a release from OPP.
Sujeebhan Dillirajah, age 25 from Ajax, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
The driver was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on September 2021.
