Two women charged in relation to fight at Cataraqui Centre

Kingston Police are thanking the public for their assistance in identifying those involved in a fight that took place in late March.
Police asked for public assistance to identify the individuals involved on Tuesday, Apr. 2, 2019, indicating the a fight had taken place at the bus shelters outside of the Cataraqui Centre on the evening of Friday, Mar. 29, 2019.
After an extensive investigation, Kingston Police contacted the first woman accused of involvement in the incident at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 4, 2019. Police advised the accused woman that there were grounds to arrest her for assault. The accused woman attended Kingston Police Headquarters at 3:10 p.m. that day, and was arrested and later released on conditions with a future court date.
Then, on Monday, Apr. 8, 2019, the second accused woman attended Kingston Police Headquarters at approximately 5:04 p.m. The second accused woman was subsequently arrested and later released on conditions with a future court date.
As a result, a 19-year-old local woman was charged with two counts of assault, and a 23-year-old local woman was charged with assault.
