Two women charged after assault on elderly woman in Perth

Two women face charges of robbery and assault in connection with an assault on an elderly woman in Perth last month.
The charges stem from an incident on Wilson Street East in the early afternoon on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021.
Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police say a 67-year-old woman was assaulted in her home by two suspects unknown to her between noon and 1 p.m. The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Wanetta Generoux, 47, of Drummond-North Elmsley Township, and Sandra Bartraw, 33, of Perth, each face multiple charges.
The charges, all one count to each suspect, are robbery with theft, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, break and enter and theft under $5,000.
Both were charged with the offences on Tuesday, Mar. 9, 2021 and were being held in custody for a court appearance in Perth on Wednesday.
