Two vehicle collision in Napanee results in impaired driving charges

One driver is facing charges after the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a two vehicle collision in Greater Napanee at approximately 8:34 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 30, 2021.

Investigation revealed that the driver of a Green Mazda lost control and collided with a Black Mazda vehicle on County Road 9, just south of Township Road 9 in Greater Napanee, according to a release from OPP, dated Monday, May. 3, 2021. Police determined that the driver of the Green Mazda was showing signs of impairment. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was administered and the driver was subsequently arrested and transported to detachment for processing. One driver suffered minor injuries.

OPP have charged Logan Cadeau, age 23, of Stone Mills Township with:

  • Operation While Impaired – alcohol and drug;
  • Operating a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit;

Cadeau was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on May 11, 2021. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. Cadeau will be responsible for all related fees and fines.
