Two shot with pellet gun in downtown Perth, OPP looking for suspect

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they are investigating an incident in downtown Perth where two people were shot at with pellets.

Police say that on Wednesday, Apr. 24, 2024, at about 8 p.m., officers were called to a parking lot on Gore Street, where two people had allegedly been shot with a pellet gun. Both victims are males in their mid-50s.

Their injuries were minor, police say, however, one was transported to hospital for treatment.

Police say the culprit fled the scene, and they are currently looking for the suspect.

A second potential crime scene was located on Gore Street. Officers remained on the scene until Thursday, Apr. 25, 2024, as part of the ongoing investigation.
