Two men charged with stunt driving by Frontenac OPP

A Frontenac Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped two separate vehicles while conducting speed enforcement on Highway 401 near Sir John A. MacDonald Boulevard on Saturday, Jun. 1, 2019. Both drivers were charged with stunt driving.

Just before midnight, the OPP officer stopped a vehicle travelling eastbound at 58 kilometres an hour over the posted speed limit. The driver, a 26 year-old from North York, was charged with stunt driving, which resulted in the driver’s licence and vehicle being seized for seven days. The driver was given a summons to appear in Provincial Offences Court in Kingston at a future date to answer to the charge.

Less than an hour later, at the same location, the same officer stopped a vehicle travelling eastbound at 66 kilometers an hour over the posted speed limit. The driver, a 19 year-old from North York, was also charged with stunt driving, resulting in the driver’s licence and vehicle being seized for seven days. The driver was also given a summons to appear in Provincial Offences Court in Kingston at a future date to answer to the charge.
