Following the mall visit, the victim was approached by the juveniles near Gardiners Road. The youths called the victim over and demanded his backpack. When he refused to hand it over, one of the youths produced a knife. The 17-year-old quickly tried to get away, but fell, at which point the two 15-year-olds punched and kicked him before taking off with his backpack. The victim sustained minor injuries.
