Trillium gymnasts take lead podium positions at Quinte Bay Classic meet

The weekend from Friday, Feb. 28 to Sunday, Mar. 1, 2020 was a busy one for the athletes with Trillium Gymnastics Club.
The gymnasts travelled to Belleville to the 2020 Quinte Bay Classic, a Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) qualifying event. The event was the third qualifier for Provincial Optional Gymnasts Levels 6-9, and the second qualifier for Compulsory Gymnasts Level 3-5. It was also the first meet of the season for Trillium’s Pre-Competitive Group Level 2. Trillium led the meet in numerous levels and age categories, with many gymnasts achieving personal bests throughout the competition.
Gold Medal All Around
The following gymnasts achieved Gold Medal All Around:
Avery Miller, Olive Murdock, Chloe Cadue (Level 2), Mattie Smith (Level 2), Brynn Albas (Level 3), Olivia Mortimer (Level 3), Grace Russell (Level 4), Olivia Nitschke (Level 4), Daley Clarke (Level 6), Stella Lakins (Level 6), and Mae Dagnone (Level 6).
Silver Medal All Around
The following gymnasts achieved Silver Medal All Around:
Calista MacDonald, Shea Holgate, Lucy Scott (Level 2), Sofia Tippin (Level 3), Molly Libitz (Level 3), Sara Davis (Level 3), Tessa Miller (Level 3), Hallie Quest (Level 3), Riley Clarke (Level 4), Jayden Morris (Level 4), Emma Rowat (Level 5), Kaitlyn Tofts (Level 6), Maddie Twig (Level 6), Kyra Johnston (Level 6), Norah Crighton (Level 6), and Kaylee Molleson (Level 6).
Bronze Medal All Around
The following gymnasts achieved Bronze Medal All Around:
Julia Eves (Level 2), Lily Wannamaker, Kenslee Bell, Leah Coleman (Level 3), Paige Holgate (Level 3), Gillian Stephens (Level 3), Ava Stubinski (Level 3), Eva Walker (Level 4), and Nicole Nelson (Level 6).
Based on their cumulative scores, Trillium Athletes were also awarded the following team awards: Gold – Level 2, Gold – Level 6, Silver – Level 3, and Bronze – Level 4. Additionally, many athletes achieved Gold, Silver or Bronze medals on the individual apparatus (floor, beam, vault and uneven bars).

Camila Farina, Rowan Bruyere, Samantha Pringle, Lily Quigley, Emily Youngman, Elyssa McPherson, Rylie Heyman, Lyric Murdock, Taylor Binch, Sophia Vilela, Emily Krol, Ally Tschakovsky, Aniela Posadowski, Ava Provost, Emma Twofoot, Shaye Boyce, Alex Duggan, Strotman-Scanlon, and Sarah Furtado.
Provincial Optional gymnasts (Levels 6-9) will find out in the coming weeks if they have qualified for Provincials. Provincial Compulsory (Levels 3-5) gymnasts will have one more qualifying meet before provincial qualifiers are announced.
