Trillium gymnasts earn 15 medals at provincial championships
Twenty local athletes from Trillium Gymnastics Club competed at the WAG (Women’s Artistic Gymnastics) 2023 Level 3-5 Provincial Championships, which took place in Alliston, Ontario, from Apr. 27 to 30, 2023.
A combined total of 15 medals were achieved by the young Trillium Athletes, including Hallie Quest winning gold as All Around Provincial Champion in the Level 4 age 13 category.
According to a release from Trillium, gymnasts were eligible to compete at Provincials based on their standings from three previous qualifying meets. Gymnasts showcased routines in four events including Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise.
“A huge congratulations to all of Trillium’s Gymnasts on an awesome weekend and a special thank you to our incredible Compulsory Coaches Mackenzie Lee, Katrina Sawicki, and Sophia Ogburn,” Trillium Gymnastics Club said.
