The following is a selection of the most significant road closures and expected traffic delays in and around the city of Kingston for the week ending January 31, 2020. Full lists of closures and delays provided by the City of Kingston and the MTO can be viewed here and here.
Frontenac Street is closed from Jenkins to Princess until June 27 to allow for framing, masonry and interior work for 501 Frontenac St.
Expect delays on the 401 at Gardiners Road until November 2020, and delays of up to 10 minutes nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the westbound lanes of the 401.
Expect minor delays on Leroy Grant Drive until early February as a contractor replaces a gas main on behalf of Utilities Kingston.
A reminder that the Winter Parking Bylaw is in effect. Parking is prohibited on all city streets from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m., and from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m. on the streets that surround Kingston General Hospital.
